Vít Voženílek completed his degrees as a MSc. in geography and mathematics and a Ph.D. in physical geography at Masaryk University, Czech Republic. He continued his specialization and received invaluable professional experience at Czech and foreign universities. In 2007, he became professor of geoinformatics. Currently,, Vít is a member and adviser in various scientific academic and journal boards. He regularly represents the Czech Republic at international and global conferencies in Europe, Asia, and the USA. He is the Vice President of the International Cartographic Association, a leading figure of Czech geoinformatics and cartography, as well as the author or co-author of more than 300 journal articles, scientific books and atlases.
