Dan Ťok is a Czech politician who has served since 2014 as Minister of Transport of the Czech Republic. He studied and graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Technology in Brno. In the 80’s he worked at Prvni Brnenska Strojirna Corp. and in the 90´s he became a director of a boilers division there. From 1996 to 1999 he served as a general director of ABB Power Systems and the Czech and Slovak branch of Alstom (1999-2003). He was a chairman of the Jihomoravská plynárenská (2003-2006) and of KKCG (2006-2008). From 2008 to 2014 he served as a chairman and then later as general director of Skanska. Since 1999 he has held different positions at the American Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic and in June 2014 he was elected as its president.
