Vojtěch Petráček

Doc. RNDr. Vojtěch Petráček, CSc., has gone through many important institutions during his career, including foreign ones. Since 2004 he has been working at the Faculty of Nuclear and Physical Engineering of the Czech Technical University, where he teaches experimental physics, relativistic physics of heavy ions and subatomic physics, and is also the guarantor of the Experimental Nuclear Physics specialization. He leads a scientific team working in the ALICE, CBM and AEGIS experiments. His main fields of interest are the physics of ultra-relativistic nuclear collisions and particle physics, whose experimental and theoretical aspects he seeks to connect with students and colleagues in research at the faculty. From 2010 to 2015 he was the Vice-Rector for Science and Research of the Czech Technical University, in 2018 he was appointed Rector of the Czech Technical University in Prague.
