A cashless society as a step towards losing freedom?

Alena Schillerova graduated from the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University in Brno. Between 1991 and 2015 she held various positions in the Financial Administration Office. She worked as the director of the Brno-venkov Tax Office and also as the director of the Legal and Tax Process Department of the General Finance Directorate. Among others things, she acted as a member of the Scientific Board of the Faculty of Business Administration at BUT and a member of the working committee for financial law of the Legislative Council of the Government. She has also dedicated herself to publishing and lecturing. She has devoted her whole career to the field of finance. Since January 2016, she has worked as the Deputy Minister of Finance for Taxes and Customs, before which she held various positions in Financial Administration for 25 years. In 2017, she was appointed Minister of Finance. She aims to simplify the tax system from non-systemic exceptions and improve the online tax office, i.e. the ability to file tax returns conveniently via the Internet.
