
Alena Schillerová

Alena Schillerova is the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance. After graduating from the
Faculty of Law at Masaryk University in Brno she worked in Financial Administration of the Czech
Republic. She was a member of the Scientific Board of the Faculty of Business and Management and
a member of the Working Committee for Financial Law of the Government Legislative Council. She
has had considerable publishing and lecturing activities. From 2016 to 2017 she served as the Deputy
Minister of Finance for Taxation and Customs. Since 2017 she has been Minister of Finance and in
April 2019 she was appointed Deputy Prime Minister. Her priorities include combating tax evasion,
creating a fair business environment and raising the overall standard of living in the Czech Republic.
